Ever been to a drive-in? Well now the Red Chair has.! While staying at the Hummingbird Inn, the innkeepers took Red to Hull’s Drive-in in Lexington, the city at the other end of Goshen Pass. Hull’s by the way, is one of the only community owned drive-ins in America. It was so much fun, Red wonders why there arn't more of these around?!

The Red Chair is currently at Prospect Hill B&B Inn, in Mountain City, TN. It's been a busy visit--starting with receiving it at the courthouse and being greeted by county Mayor Larry Potter. "Red" spent an afternoon exploring the inn--the historic apple tree, innkeeper Robert's chop saw ("Oh, keep that away from ME!"), the wedding garden and the front yard hill with mountain vistas. That was followed by a short trip to Zionville, NC to check out a Christmas tree farm (with a little snow on the ground and more on the mountain tops) and a brief "chat" with Doc Watson's life-lie statue in downtown Boone, NC. Yesterday we met up with Elizabethton Star reporter Bryan Stevens at the historic covered bridge and then took a look at the boat ramp, Watuaga Lake and the tallest earthen dam east of the Mississippi River. Asheville Food Blogger Kevin Schwartz had his photo made with "Red." After a good night's sleep (in innkeeper Judy's car) "Red" briefly checked up on the Barter Theater crew setting up in Heritage Hall for tonight's performance of "The Ghost in the Meadow." "Red" may have the opportunity to attend the cast party later tonight! Tomorrow, Mast Farm Inn gives "Red" a ride to their scenic location in Valle Crucis, NC. I bet he/she sleeps all the way....
