The Red Chair had such a relaxing few days while staying at The Majestic Hotel in Ocean Grove, New Jersey!  
The spacious front porch was Red's favorite spot to sit with the wonderful innkeepers and watch the sun go down each evening.  With the beach so close the sound of the ocean waves just put Red's mind at ease.

Pillars of Plainfield Bed & Breakfast

After an exciting ride on the New Jersey Transit Train heading to the Pillars of Plainfield Bed & Breakfast the Red Chair finally made it!  Red stood in awe of this three storied Victorian that was built in 1870 and is part of the Van Wyck Brooks Historic District.  After visiting with Victorian parlor chairs in the living room, Red retired to the company of wing chairs in the Master Suite for the evening to get ready for all that was to come.

Ivy Terrace

The Red Chair finally has made it to New York City!  Thanks to the amazing innkeepers of the Ivy Terrace the Red Chair was able to wander around Times Square, ride the infamous NYC subway, see the Lion King on Broadway, visit Coney Island and so much more.  As Red hopped into the New Jersey Transit Train it knew it would really miss the hustle and bustle of this wonderful "City That Never Sleeps."

The Wooden Duck Bed & Breakfast

After traveling for over a month the Red Chair has made it to the Wooden Duck Bed & Breakfast in Newton, NJ, the 12th stop and 6th state included in Red's cross country journey.  The Red Chair was amazed with the amount of interesting things to see and do in Newton, NJ! Red suggests to make sure you visit the Franklin Mineral Museum for some excitement in the black lights.  It was a truly unique experience only to be found in Newton, NJ!

 

 

The Settler's Inn

Visiting the Settler's Inn and the Pocono Mountains Lake Region was such a memorable experience for the Red Chair! Red received a VIP tour of the area from the Pocono Mountain Visitor's Bureau and was able to explore some of the areas most exciting places including the "Niagara of Pennsylvania," Bushkill Falls! The Red Chair loved the area and the people who were so welcoming. Red has promised to make it back someday!

Inn at Lake Joseph

The Red Chair had a marvelous time visiting the Innkeepers of the Inn at Lake Joseph in Forestburgh, NY for the past few days!  From acting, relaxing with new friends, to hitting the slot machines the Red Chair kept busy trying to see as much as it could during the two day stay.  So much to see and do in so little time, but Red was not easily deterred from doing it all!  Check out all of the pictures and a bit more about Red's visit under the New York section!

ECCE Bed and Breakfast

When the ECCE Bed and Breakfast signed on to host the Red chair, Red was curious to know what the letters ECCE stood for.  Well as soon as the Red Chair arrived it realized that ECCE, the Latin term for "behold", was unmistakably perfect to describe this mountain side paradise!  The ECCE Bed and Breakfast sits right above the Upper Delaware River and surrounded by 60 acres of woodlands.  The views were spectacular from their outdoor decks and to just lounge in the hammock was just such a  serene experience!
