Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast

The Red Chair was so excited to visit the Innkeepers of the Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast in Salisbury Mills, NY!  There was so much to see the Red Chair couldn't have possibly seen it all in the short period of time that it had.  Although only hitting a few of Salisbury Mills' highlights the Red Chair was able to see quite a bit including the historic West Point Military Academy! So much in so little time, I guess the Red Chair will just have to go back!

Inn the Woods provided a wonderful experience for the Red Chair!  Innkeeper Valarie Losey made sure to show the Red Chair the best the area can offer within its couple days' stay and the Red Chair is so glad she did!  Visiting the Hudson River, beautiful famous family estates, the Culinary Institute of America, and the final resting places of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, just to name a few, showed the Red Chair just how enchanting this part of New York is!

 

Millbrook Village Inn
Millbrook, NY

While staying at the Millbrook Village Inn, in Millbrook, NY the Red Chair was yet again a busy bee trying new things like visiting a shooting range (first shot was a bullseye!) and also the Red Chair was able to get up close and personal with a lemur!  As the 6th stop on the journey Red had a wonderful time shopping and relaxing with a glass of local wine before taking off to the next stop.  Red can't wait to go back!  

 

Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast

The Red Chair visited the Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast as the fifth stop on the cross country adventure and we are so glad it did!
With so many exciting things to do the Red Chair was able to try new and daring things while also was able to sit back and relax with an amazing view.  The time spent here went too fast and Red will be sure to come back for another visit!

Rock Hall Luxe Lodging
Colebrook, CT
June 17-19th, 2013

The fourth stop on the Red Chair's journey brought it to Innkeepers Michael and Stella Somers at the Rock Hall Luxe in the beautiful Colebrook, CT.  The Red Chair had a fabulous time hanging poolside while enjoying the sunshine.  Red says "keep an eye out for all kinds of concerts and musical festivals in the area!"

Silas W. Robbins House
Wethersfield, CT

The Red Chair presents the third stop on it's cross country journey, the Silas W. Robbins House in Wethersfield, CT!  Red was in awe of the beautiful French Second Empire inspired home that Silas W. Robbins built back in 1873.  Innkeepers John and Shireen Aforismo brought the home back to life and turned it into a bed and breakfast so the world (and of course the Red Chair) could visit the majestic home!

Samuel Durfee House Newport, RI

The Red Chair began it's journey with a stop to the beautiful Samuel Durfee House in Newport, Rhode Island.  

While there the Red Chair was able to see all different aspects of Newport from the Castle Hill Lighthouse to the Historical Trinity Church on Queen Anne Square!  The Red Chair had such a wonderful time with innkeepers Michael and Heather De Pinho and would love to go back to spend a little more relaxation time at the beautiful beaches located just down the street.  Make sure to take a look into the Rhode Island Section to see many more pictures!

The Red Chair took a moment to reflect on how it became the Famous Red Chair while taking one last stroll around the village of Woods Hole.  

After a fantastic Bon Voyage celebration with friends and the Woods Hole Inn family, Red began the year long trek across the country to discover new places and new friends.  "Go West Young Man"
