The Hawthorne Inn, with the help of innkeepers Gregory Burch and Marilyn Mudry, showed the Red Chair the highlights of this incredibly historic town. Three rivers wend through Concord's Colonial landscape where moss-covered stonewalls embrace the homes of Hawthorne, Alcott, Emerson and Thoreau, and the Red Chair witnessed the North Bridge, where was fired, "the shot heard 'round the world". |

What a way to deck the halls, hanging with friends in this gorgeous house nestled in the jewel-like Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts. November 22, 2012 Currently under construction recovering from the damage of flooding during Hurricane Irene, the Deerfield Inn jumped to host the Red Chair this November to show our red friend some of its furniture cousins, and share the progress of their renovation with the world. Proving that a chair can enjoy as Inn even in the midst of sawdust, power tools and busy workers... the Red Chair was able to get out and see the sights around the Inn, enjoy a lovely breakfast with other amenable guests and snuggle up with some of the Inn's adorable dogs. |
