Prescott Pines Bed & Breakfast
Prescott, AZ
April 18-22nd, 2014
The Red Chair was so excited to bask in the abundant sunshine Arizona had to offer, and as soon as Red reached Prescott Pines Bed and Breakfast first thing it did was just soak it all in! With the entire staff and Innkeeper Dawn to greet the Red Chair it felt immediately right at home and ready to adventure. Surrounded by lakes, mountains, boulder outcroppings, 500 miles of hiking trails, vineyards, views of distant snow-capped San Francisco peaks, tons of Wild West history including Whiskey Row, the World's Oldest Rodeo every 4th of July, the Territorial Governor's Mansion and renowned bootmaker, Paul Krause! It just so happened that the Red Chair's visit coincided with the beginning of Prescott's Sesquicentennial Celebration and hundreds of locals gathered with Red on the steps of the Courthouse PLaza to have their photo taken for the time capsule! You can find Red on the very far left of the picture.
Heralding from Cape Cod and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean coastline, Red was anxious to "hit the water", so owner Dawn introduced Red to Prescott's beautiful Granite Dells, the Red Bridge at Willow Lake, and Watson Lake. Worked out to be a gorgeous day too! Next Red was onto visiting El Gato Azul for a fabulous lunch of tapas and sangria (Red is of legal drinking age and enjoyed responsibly of course). Then it was back to enjoy the company of the amazing staff of Prescott Pines B&B and to relax in luxury before moving onto the next stop. How quickly time flies when you are having such a wonderful time...

The Lodge at Sedona
Sedona, AZ
April 15-17th, 2014
The Red chair was so impressed by the huge warm welcome from the staff at the Lodge at Sedona in Sedona, AZ, what a great group of people! First thing the Red Chair did was to check out their Labyrinth and Medicine Wheel for a bit of meditating. Afterwards Red hung around with the guests and relayed stories of the amazing adventures so far. When it came time to head out to dinner, while riding along, the Red Chair noticed a McDonald's with teal arches as opposed to the yellow ones! General Manager Lisa went on to explain that Sedona has regulations on building color, so no yellow arches. Red found this so interesting and absolutely had to take a picture with it! Blazin M hosted the Red Chair for dinner, where it ate way more than it should have. Red delighted in the old time photo shop and quaint bar, which was just so much fun. Guests from all over the world stopped to have their picture taken with Red and of course Red didn't mind. After staying out late, Red returned to the Lodge at Sedona exhausted and grateful to sink into the jetted Jacuzzi tub and then melt into a soft bed. That night Red's dreams were full of anticipation for what awaited first thing in the morning, the scrumptious gourmet breakfast! Breakfast after all is the most important meal of your day and Red's favorite mealtime, and boy did this breakfast rock!
Elden Trails Bed & Breakfast
Flagstaff, AZ
April 11-14th, 2014
Located five miles East of historic downtown Flagstaff Arizona, the Elden Trails Bed and Breakfast sits among the perfect area; close to the city but removed from all of the hustle and bustle. The Red Chair got a chance to roam around with innkeeper Steve who also is a limo driver! Red assisted with opening champagne bottles for the guests and kept them company with stories of the amazing travels it has had so far. The next day Red and Innkeepers of the Elden Trails B&B took a tour of downtown Flagstaff, stopping in front of the historic Flagstaff Courthouse for a picture. This was the same clock tower that was used in the filming of the movie "Back to the Future." Next it was onto the historic train station to watch the trains come and go. Freight trains were hurtling by at 45 mph and you could feel the rush of air as they passed by but Red was completely unfazed by the experience! Of course Red caught the attention of some onlookers and proceeded to explain its many adventures and made some new friends. That evening, back at the inn, the Red Chair sat next to the chiminea with its wonderful hosts and relived some of its favorite moments while visiting Flagstaff. Red wondered where the past few days went, time flies when you are having fun!
