You remember the movie, loons on the lake with the mist drifting in early morning light. Well, it's all still there for you at the Manor on Golden Pond, and the Red Chair settled right in and enjoyed the deep relaxation that comes from such an inspired location on Squam Lake. Leaves about to pop, crickets still chirping and the soft breeze whispering through tall oaks. |

September 8th, 2012...
On the edge of the White Mountain National Forest, the Red Chair enjoyed a few days at the 1785 Inn, a location that Frommer's recently wrote has one of the best views in the world. A tad early for ski season, the Chair enjoyed the quiet gardens and the view across mountain caps, with forests on the cusp of their tremendous autumn display. What a way to unwind in September! |

Denim friendly is the keyword to understanding the feeling of casual luxury at the Inn at Thorn Hill, where our Red Chair made haste to the wine cellar to enjoy a fine French Merlot. All this before hiking to the top of a local mountain on the BACK of one of the innkeepers -- much to the surprise of other climbers. Read all about the trip on our blog! Life in the White Mountains is a happy time for big Red. |
