Ever heard of Geocaching? Thanks to the innkeepers of the Old Parkdale Inn Bed & Breakfast in Parkdale, Oregon the Red Chair has now become hooked! Geocaching is a fun outdoor treasure hunt and caches can be found all over the world. (I accidentally stumbled upon a cache in the town of Sandwich, MA once.) The picture featured above is one of the Red Chair's discoveries on Mt. Hood, one of Oregon's 7 Wonders and is nearby to the Old Parkdale Inn. The rules of the game: find the cache, write in the log book, leave your trinket then take another trinket to trade at the next cache you find. Maybe Red will get a chance to find more throughout its travels!

Red's final surprise while staying with Kristin at Chehalem Ridge B&B was to don the appropriate headgear and enjoy the parade at the 16th Annual UFO Festival in McMinnville, which commemorates the 1950 Trent sighting in which two local citizens witnessed and photographed a UFO. It is not every day when a piece of red furniture can put on an aluminum hat and have Princess Leia grace its seat, what an awesome day!
