Innkeeper Mary showed the Red Chair all around the beautiful Ahern's Belle of the Bends Bed and Breakfast Inn but what Red really wanted to do was go swing on one of the porch swings on the veranda. It was wonderful to sit there and relax while the birds serenaded Red. After a while Red decided to settle down for the night in the beautiful parlor. The 2 other chairs Red met, Teal and Cushy were so friendly and had all three had the most spirited conversation regarding the War of Northern Aggression or the War Between the States. (Also known as the Civil War.) There was one Aqua colored Settee that kept themselves pretty much in the background, but did tell Red that the guy who built the house back in 1876 was a Mississippi State Senator. Well, then everything made a whole lot of sense because only a senator could have afforded all the beautiful adornments of this home but the Bavarian Plaster crown molding really knocked Reds socks off and Red didn't even know it was wearing any!!!
