When the Red Chair visited the Greenlake Guest House Bed and Breakfast in Seattle, Washington it was quite excited to explore more of this gorgeous city. Little could it have imagined to find the old site of a Gasworks Factory to be one of the most interesting places it has seen! Gasworks Park is located on nearby Lake Union. The "gasworks" were used in the early 1900's to convert coal into gas, and were developed into a park in the 1970's. The remains of the factory are now art and the site is a popular location for picnics and kite flying. Also from this park you can enjoy a gorgeous view of downtown Seattle from the beach. Such a unique place and it was so much fun to explore the many different structures!
