While staying near by at the Yamhill Vineyards Bed and Breakfast, Red decided to hike a quarter of a mile to Willamette Valley's largest Erratic Rock. This 90 ton rock arrived in Oregon during the Ice Age Floods (according to the Oregon State Parks website) about 12,000-17,000 years ago by way of an iceberg from the Northern Rocky Mountains. This special and unique rock commands a wonderful view of the valley and is an activity the Red Chair recommends people who visit the area must add to their to-do list!
