The Red Chair and Innkeeper Pam visited the Sterne Fountain which was erected in 1913 in downtown historic Jefferson, Texas. The fountain has six different drinking outlets, two at each of three different levels: one for humans, one for horses, and one for dogs (they haven't added a level for chairs yet). The statue is of Hebe, the Greek Goddess of Youth. In the background is the Jefferson Carnegie Library. Built in 1907, it is one of four libraries in Texas, from the original 34, to currently operate as a library. Jefferson, Texas is also home to five museums and many shops and restaurants.
